How it works

Run your search
Search Bing Maps the way you normally would — a category and a place, such as “plumbers in Manchester”.
Open the panel
Click the MapContacts icon. The panel opens beside the results and shows what it can read from the page.
Collect and review
Start collection, watch rows appear, drop the ones you do not need. Duplicates are merged automatically.
Export
Download a CSV or XLSX file. The file is written by your browser straight to your Downloads folder.
What data you get — and what we will not touch
MapContacts handles business listing information: the details a company publishes on a map so that customers can find and contact it.
This data was published to be used
A business listing is advertising. A company writes its phone number, address and opening hours onto a public map for one reason: so that customers it has never met can find it and get in touch. The listing has done its job when someone acts on it.
That is a different category from personal information. Nobody on a map listing is a private individual who was catalogued without knowing — these are trading entities publishing the contact channel they want used, in the place they chose to publish it.
Published is not the same as unlimited
Publishing a number so customers can call is not consent to receive bulk email. The purpose a business published for still frames what you may lawfully do next, and a sole trader’s mobile number can be personal data even though it appears on a business listing.
So MapContacts stops where the listing stops: we collect what the business chose to show, we add nothing from anywhere else, and our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits using the result for unsolicited bulk messaging.

Your use is your responsibility. Business contact data is still regulated in many countries. You must have a lawful basis for what you do with an exported list, and you must follow the applicable rules on marketing and data protection — including the GDPR, the ePrivacy rules, the CAN-SPAM Act and CASL where they apply to you. Sending unsolicited bulk messages with data collected through MapContacts is prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy and is grounds for account termination.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
From the Bing Maps business listings shown on the search results page you have open. MapContacts reads what the page already displays to you; it does not reach into private systems and does not use undocumented or authenticated APIs.
Does the collected data pass through your servers?
No. Collection and export happen inside your browser, and collected rows live in local extension storage on your device. Our servers only handle your account: your email address, your plan, and the licence check that tells the extension your subscription is active. We never receive, store or resell the listings you collect.
Can I use the exported list for cold email campaigns?
Not with MapContacts. Sending unsolicited bulk email or SMS using data collected through the extension is prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy. MapContacts is a research and data collection tool: it has no email sending, no campaign features and no contact list hosting, and we terminate accounts used for spam.
Is business contact data covered by the GDPR?
It can be. A phone number or an address of a one-person business, or a named contact at a company, may still be personal data under the GDPR even though it is published for business purposes. You are the controller of any list you export, which means you decide the purpose, you need a lawful basis for it, and you handle any access or erasure requests you receive. Take advice if you are unsure — we cannot give you legal advice about your use case.
Which browsers are supported?
Chrome and Chromium-based desktop browsers — Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera. There is no Firefox, Safari or mobile build.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are monthly or annual and renew automatically until you cancel. Our order processing and billing are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and takes care of invoices and sales tax or VAT. We never see or store your card details.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — within 14 days of a payment, no explanation needed. See the Refund Policy for how to request one and what happens afterwards.
Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes. Cancel from your account page or from the link in any Paddle receipt. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
