  18. How to contact us

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and the operator of MapContacts. They cover the MapContacts website at mapcontacts.net, the MapContacts browser extension, and any account you hold with us (together, the “Service”).

By installing the extension, creating an account or paying for a plan, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

1. Who you are contracting with

MapContacts is operated as a sole proprietorship by Anton Prokopets, registered at Grafska 4A, Nizhyn 16600, Ukraine (“we”, “us”, “our”). You can reach us at support@mapcontacts.net.

Payments are not processed by us. Our order processing is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited and its affiliates (“Paddle”), which act as the merchant of record and as authorised reseller of the Service. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s own buyer terms, and Paddle’s name appears on your payment statement.

2. The service

MapContacts is a browser extension that reads business listings displayed on a public map search results page in your own browser, structures them into rows, removes duplicates, and lets you export the result as a CSV or XLSX file.

The extension runs on your device. Collection and export are performed locally by your browser, and the listings you collect are stored in local extension storage on your device. We do not operate a data warehouse: we do not receive, hold, sell or license the business listings you collect, and we do not supply you with any pre-built database.

MapContacts is not an email, SMS or marketing automation product. It cannot send messages, it hosts no contact lists, and it offers no campaign features.

3. Account and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your credentials secure, and for everything done under your account. Tell us promptly at support@mapcontacts.net if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

A subscription is for one person. Sharing your account with several people, or passing your licence key to a third party, is not permitted.

4. Licence to use MapContacts

While your plan is active and you comply with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension for your own business or research purposes, on the computers you personally use.

You may not:

5. Acceptable use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms. It matters: the AUP prohibits, among other things, using data collected through MapContacts to send unsolicited bulk email or messages, and it prohibits collecting personal information about private individuals.

A breach of the Acceptable Use Policy is a material breach of these Terms and may lead to immediate suspension or termination under section 15.

6. Data you collect, and your responsibility for it

You decide what searches you run, what you collect, what you export and what you then do with the file. In data protection terms, you are the controller of any exported list; we are not a processor of it, because it never reaches us.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that:

We give no legal advice and make no representation that any particular use of collected data is lawful in your jurisdiction. If that is unclear to you, take professional advice before you collect.

7. Third-party sources and trademarks

MapContacts is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or certified by Microsoft Corporation, Bing, Google LLC, or any other operator of a map or directory service. Product and company names mentioned on this site are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe what MapContacts reads.

Third-party websites change. If a source changes its page structure, the extension may collect fewer fields, or stop working for that source, until we release an update. We will make reasonable efforts to keep it working but cannot guarantee continued compatibility with any third-party service.

8. Plans, fees and billing

Current plans, prices and monthly row limits are published on our pricing page and form part of these Terms. Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax or VAT, which Paddle adds at checkout where it is due and shows to you before you confirm.

Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly plans each month, annual plans each year — at the then-current price for your plan, until cancelled. Paddle charges your chosen payment method on each renewal date and sends a receipt.

If a payment fails, Paddle retries it and notifies you. We may suspend paid features while a subscription is in arrears; the subscription is cancelled if payment still cannot be collected after the retry period.

We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you at least 30 days notice by email before a price change affects one of your renewals, and you can cancel before it takes effect. Row limits and feature allocations are per plan and per billing period; unused rows do not carry over.

The free plan is offered as-is, may be limited or withdrawn at any time, and carries no support commitment.

9. Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account page or from the subscription link in a Paddle receipt. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which gives you 14 days from a payment to ask for your money back. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights, where they apply to you, are additional to that policy and are not affected by it.

10. Availability, changes and support

We aim to keep the Service available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we give no uptime guarantee. Our account and licensing servers may be unavailable during maintenance, third-party outages or events outside our control.

We may add, change or remove features. If we discontinue a feature that is material to a paid plan you are on, you may cancel and ask us for a pro-rata refund of the unused part of your current period.

Support is provided by email at support@mapcontacts.net, in English, during business days, at the response level described for your plan.

11. Intellectual property

We and our licensors own the Service, including the extension, the website, the MapContacts name and logo, and all related software, text and design. These Terms grant you a licence to use the Service, not any ownership in it.

You own the files you export. We claim no rights in them. If you send us feedback or a feature suggestion, you allow us to use it without obligation or compensation.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that data collected through the extension is accurate, current, complete or suitable for your purpose. Listing data originates with third parties and with the businesses themselves; it can be outdated, wrong or incomplete. Verify anything that matters before you rely on it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for loss or corruption of data, arising out of or in connection with the Service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) USD 50.

We are not liable for any consequence of how you use exported data, including any regulatory fine, complaint or claim resulting from your own marketing, outreach or data-protection practices.

14. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against any claim, demand, loss, liability, fine or reasonable legal cost arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or from your unlawful collection, storage or use of data obtained through the Service.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel your subscription as described in section 9.

We may suspend or terminate your access, with immediate effect and without refund, if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy — in particular if you use the Service for spam, for collecting personal data about private individuals, or for circumventing licence checks or plan limits. Where the circumstances allow it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

We may also terminate a subscription for convenience on 30 days notice, in which case we refund the unused portion of your current period pro rata.

On termination your licence ends and you must stop using the extension. Sections 6, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17 survive termination. Data stored locally on your device remains yours; uninstalling the extension deletes it.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, to our business or to the law. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and for changes that materially affect your rights we will email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Ukraine have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction that grants you the right to bring proceedings in your place of residence, that right is unaffected.

Please write to us before starting a formal dispute — most problems are resolved by email within a few days.
