Refund Policy
Last updated: 14 September 2026
14 days, money back, no explanation required. If MapContacts is not what you expected, email support@mapcontacts.net within 14 days of the payment and we refund it in full.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to every payment you make for a MapContacts subscription, monthly or annual, through our checkout. The free plan involves no payment and so nothing to refund.
Our order processing is handled by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record. Refunds are approved by us and paid out by Paddle to the original payment method.
2. The 14-day money-back guarantee
You can ask for a full refund of any payment within 14 days of the date that payment was taken. This applies to a first purchase, to a monthly renewal and to an annual renewal alike. You do not have to give a reason, and we do not ask you to prove anything.
We do this because we would rather return the money than keep a customer who is not getting value from the product. It also means you can test MapContacts on real work, not just on the free plan’s 50 rows, without risk.
3. How to request a refund
- Email support@mapcontacts.net from the address on your account.
- Include the Paddle order or transaction number from your receipt, if you have it to hand. If you do not, your email address is enough.
- Tell us whether you also want the subscription cancelled. In most cases you do, and we cancel it unless you say otherwise.
We reply within 2 business days and approve eligible requests when we reply. Paddle then issues the refund, and it typically appears on a card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. PayPal refunds are usually faster. You can also raise a refund request directly with Paddle at paddle.net.
4. What happens after a refund
Paid features stop when the refund is issued, and your account reverts to the free plan. Anything you have already exported is yours to keep — the files are on your own computer and we neither hold nor delete them.
5. Requests after 14 days
After the 14-day window we do not refund as a matter of course, because you can cancel at any time and the subscription then simply stops at the end of the period you have paid for. We do still make exceptions, and we look at them properly rather than hiding behind the policy:
- Duplicate or accidental charge. Refunded in full, whenever you notice it.
- A renewal you did not intend, where you had not used the Service in that new period. Refunded in full if you write to us within 30 days of the charge.
- A defect we cannot fix. If the extension stops doing what we advertise and we cannot fix it in reasonable time, we refund the unused part of your period pro rata — or all of it if the whole period was affected.
- We discontinue a feature that is material to your plan, or we terminate your subscription for convenience: pro-rata refund of the unused period.
6. When we may decline
We may decline a refund where the account was terminated for a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy — for example use of collected data to send unsolicited bulk messages, collection of personal data about private individuals, or an attempt to circumvent licence checks and plan limits. We may also decline repeated refund-and-repurchase cycles on the same account or payment method, which we treat as abuse of this policy.
If we decline, we will tell you why in plain terms, and your statutory rights are unaffected.
7. Cancelling without a refund
Cancelling and refunding are separate things. To cancel, use your account page or the subscription management link in any Paddle receipt. Cancellation stops all future charges, and your plan stays fully usable until the end of the period you have already paid for. You do not need to contact us to cancel, and we do not ask you to talk to anyone first.
8. Statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Where digital services begin immediately at your request, that right can be limited, but our voluntary 14-day guarantee above gives you at least as much and often more. Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right you have under the law of your country.
